18 Times Movie Creators Found a Perfect Combination of Actors Who Portrayed The Same Character at a Different Age

Jessica Wilson

Many movie timelines span decades and even lifetimes, so it’s important for casting directors to pick actors that look the same. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be believable as younger and older versions of the same person. As we know that aging is a tricky thing in Hollywood so it’s hard to get it right offscreen. Sometimes the casting is perfect, and other times, well not so much.
In some cases, the casting is a no-brainer – like actors have younger siblings who totally look like them. For instant, Elle Fanning played Dakota’s younger version in “I Am Sam”, or Jamie-Lynn Spears portrayed her big sister Britney’s young version in “Crossroads”. In other cases, casting directors are talented enough to find another version of their characters. For the 1998 film “Practical Magic”, Camilla Belle was picked to play the younger version of Sandra Bullock’s grown-up witch Sally Owens.
We've rounded up 18 times when moviemakers actors who are so perfect to play the same character at a different age. Keep scrolling down to discover. If you are looking for more, click here, here, and here.
