Melody Carter

So, you wanna know what it's like to be a famous actor, huh? Well, let me tell ya, for some stars, it's like being a freakin' emperor! They're often chauffeured around in limousines, have assistants waiting on them hand and foot, and are showered with expensive gifts.
It takes a whole army of folks to make a movie happen. And who gets all the glory? That's right, the actors. They're the face of the film, the ones everyone's fawning over. Some of these actors are pretty chill, but others...well, let's just say some are tough to work with, or simply just weird. They want special treatment, they want their lattes at a specific temperature...you name it, they want it. But it's not just the demands themselves that are hilarious, it's also the lengths that the production staff had to go to fulfill them. They do whatever it takes to keep these pampered actors happy. They become their personal Genies.
So, grab some popcorn and get ready to laugh out loud as we recount the 10 most absurd demands that actors have made on set. It's going to be a wild ride!

Will Smith prefers to spend most of his time on set and rarely goes home, which is his unique style of working. Despite the idea sounding just normal, it was not at all. You think he would have stayed in a nearby hotel? Wrong! He asked for a double-story RV and a separate RV just for the gym. Although his home was not far from the set, the star insisted on staying at such extravagant accommodations.

#2 George Clooney: Private Garden, Basketball Court, And Customized Beach Hut

During the production of Academy Award-winning film, ‘Gravity’, Clooney insisted on having certain luxuries on his lot, such as a private basketball court, a hot tub, a landscaped garden, and a specially-made beach hut. It has been reported that these amenities cost the film around $125,000, and it is totally understandable if Clooney's extravagant requests caused tension with other cast and crew members.

#3 Lindsay Lohan Requested The Whole 10-Men Crew To Get Naked

Have you ever heard of the trick where you imagine people in their underwear to calm your nerves while performing? Well, Lindsay Lohan took it to the next level.
During the shooting of her movie The Canyons, Lindsay had a topless scene coming up. But before she took off her clothes, she asked the 10-man crew in the room to strip down to their underwear to make her feel more at ease. At first, they were a bit reluctant, probably thinking "Uh, Lindsay, we're not sure this is in our job description..." But eventually, they gave in, and the scene was shot "smooth as silk," or rather, "smooth as cotton briefs."

#4 Mike Myers Asked To Re-Record All Of His Line From Scratch

Ah, Shrek, the big green guy we all know and love! We can't imagine him sounding any different from Mike Myers' Scottish brogue. But did you know that our favorite ogre almost sounded like a stereotypical Canadian, eh?
Back in 1999, Mike recorded all his lines for the movie, but when he saw a rough cut, he gave the studio a nightmare by demanding to start from scratch. Apparently, he wasn't satisfied with his over-the-top Canadian accent. But the problem was, they'd already animated a third of his scenes, so the studio had to spend a whopping $5 million to redo everything. But in the end, it was worth it. The accent was far better, and Jeffrey Katzenberg, the big boss of DreamWorks Animation, was happy.

#5 Gary Busey Wanted To Redesign The “Heaven”

Yeah, apparently Gary Busey is a bit of an expert because he had a motorcycle accident in '88 that left him needing some serious brain surgery. And get this - he claims that during the surgery he died and went to the spiritual realm where he got some insider info.
Anyway, fast forward to when he's on a movie set that's supposed to be heaven and he's not happy with the design. He's like, "I can't play this scene. It's nothing like this. I've been to heaven and it doesn't look like this. That sofa's all wrong. That mirror is ridiculous. They don't even have mirrors!" Come on Gary, maybe let the director and set designer have a little creative license? After all, they probably haven't had the same "near-death" experience as you!

#6 Arnold Schwarzenegger: Crazy Perk Package In The Contract

Get this - Arnold Schwarzenegger's got a contract for Terminator that's crazier than a robot apocalypse. Not only is he getting a $29.25 million "pay or play" fee, which means he gets paid even if they don't make the movie (like, what?!), but he's also getting an extra $1.6 million for every day of shooting that goes over the planned schedule.
And that's not even the best part - his perk package is straight-up bonkers. He's got a deluxe three-bedroom suite, personal gym equipment (because, you know, normal gyms aren't good enough for the Terminator), and all sorts of other luxuries. But there's more - he also wants a say in hiring crew members, chefs, makeup artists, and even co-stars.

#7 Prince: No Kardashian!

The music legend loved New Girl so much that he wanted to make a cameo, but only if the Kardashian clan wasn't involved. Can't say we blame him!
The problem was, the New Girl production team had already invited Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner to be part of the show. Oops. When Prince found out, he was not impressed. Lamorne Morris, who played Winston on the show, said Prince saw the Kardashians on the screen and was like, "What are the blank blanks doing here?" Apparently, he didn't think they were worthy of being at a Prince's party. But hey, we’re pretty sure Prince's parties were reserved for the crème de la crème, not reality TV stars.

#8 Lena Headey And Jerome Flynn: Refused To Stay In The Same Room

Hey, we've all been there - seeing your ex is awkward enough, but having to work with them? That's a whole other level of cringe. Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn know the struggle all too well. When they were both cast on Game of Thrones, they made sure to include a clause in their contracts that they wouldn't have to be in the same room together. Smart move.
Can you even imagine the tension on set if they had to work together? Kudos to Lena and Jerome for avoiding any potential drama.

#9 Jack Nicholson Once Asked For A Dildo And Cocaine (For Acting Purposes)

Jack Nicholson, the legendary actor who gave an unhinged performance as Boston mob boss Frank Costello in Martin Scorsese's "The Departed," had a rather unconventional way of getting into character. He didn't ask for gourmet meals or a luxurious trailer. Instead, he wanted a dildo and cocaine for method acting.
It seems like Nicholson was committed to exploring every facet of Costello's character, even the kinky and drug-fueled ones.

#10 Daniel Day-Lewis Insists Everyone Call Him “Mr. President”

Oh boy, Daniel Day-Lewis took his role as President Lincoln pretty seriously! During the filming of the historical drama, he had some peculiar requests that had Steven Spielberg scratching his head. The method actor insisted on ditching all forms of modern electricity, which left the crew with a lot of candles and no phones.
And that's not all, Day-Lewis only answered to "Mr. President" on set, and he wouldn't even speak to anyone with a British accent, which made things awkward for some of the crew members.
