We all know that plot holes are something very common in movies. Even the best Movies can have plot holes! We mostly blame careless scriptwriters and movie makers for these illogical details. However, only a few of us consider one possibility that can lead to these big mistakes: deleted movie scenes. Turned out these mistakes made a lot of sense before the editing happened.

1. House of the Dragon

House of the Dragon's first season was recently released and it took the Internet by storm. However, director Greg Yaitanes revealed that a powerful scene was removed from the final cut. It is the quarrel between two friends, Rhaenyra and Alicent, in which Rhaenyra learns that her father intends to marry Alicent.
Another scene that never made it to the official version was when Rhaenyra laced up Alicent's bridal gown. This happened after Rhaenyra had to accept her father’s decision to marry her friend.

2. Titanic

Until this day, fans still wonder why Rose doesn’t share the makeshift life raft with Jack and saves both of them from such a tragic fate. This has become one of the most famous plot holes in cinema history. However, this deleted movie scene can explain Rose’s decision perfectly and change everything you know about the movie.
On the fifteenth movie anniversary of Titanic, an extra scene was released. It showed that Jack did try to climb Rose’s panel, but he failed. After his unsuccessful attempt, a man swam to the couple to get on the rescue panel. Jack stopped the man and told him: “It’s just enough for this lady. You’ll push it under.”
James Cameron also removed a sequence in which Kathy Bates' character requested ice for her drink while an iceberg loomed in the window behind her. This detail was deemed too ironic and unfitting for the film's dramatic theme.

3. Mrs. Doubtfire

This scene was never included in the final cut, but it made the movie so much more realistic. Only a few people knew that Daniel and Miranda had a fight shortly after the mother discovered the truth and took her children home. The pair were yelling at each other while their children were watching. This was probably their first time recognizing how much they were hurting their children. The ending makes perfect sense now!

4. Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi

Speaking about important deleted movie scenes, this one scene could change the entire Star Wars franchise. Star Wars fans gave Obi-Wan a hard time for not telling Luke about his family. However, the deleted scene showed that Yoda asked Obi-Wan to lie about the true identity of Luke’s father. He feared this information would stop Luke from becoming a Jedi and fighting for galaxy peace.

5. The Lion King

It turns out that the cartoon loved by millions had a scene explaining why Nala escaped Scar’s pride. The villain wanted to make Nala his queen. He even sang a song about their future together to her. But Nala turned his proposal down and met her true love, Simba, sometime later.
In the original version of The Lion King, there was a scene detailing why Nala fled Scar's pride. Scar wanted to turn Nala into his queen. He even sang her a song about their future together. However, Nala refused his proposal and met her true love Simba later in the movie.

6. The Devil Wears Prada

Miranda Priestly is the ruthless cold-hearted businesswoman who rules the fashion industry in The Devil Wears Prada. However, one of the film’s deleted scenes showed her softer side. During the fancy party where Miranda’s husband showed up and insulted the guests, Andy quickly diverted the guests’ attention while Miranda pulled her spouse away. After that, Miranda said over her shoulder a soft “Thank you,” leaving Andy as well as the audience in shock.

7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Aberforth Dumbledore, Albus’s brother, also fought in the Hogwarts battle. There was a deleted scene where Hermione talked to him right before the fight and he said that it was impossible to beat Voldemort.
Aberforth even told Harry to forget about the task that Dumbledore gave him, saying “My brother’s dead. So, unless you fancy joining him, I would forget about any job he gave you. It was the people my brother cared about that tended to get hurt.” Such a dramatic scene.

8. The Crown

In the fourth season of The Crown, Princess Diana sings a song from The Phantom of the Opera as a gift to her husband, Prince Charles. The scene never made it to the final cut. In real life, Princess Diana did sing for her husband on their seventh wedding anniversary. Her song of choice was All I Ask of You by Sarah Brightman.

9. Pretty Woman

In Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts plays a poor Hollywood sex worker with fun charisma. In one scene, Julia Roberts’ character tried to put a packet of ketchup on her fancy steak meal. This scene showed more of her characteristic, but it was removed in the final version.

10. Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park’s first draft was much more romantic than the final version. Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler were supposed to hug, kiss, and discuss the velociraptor skeletons in one of the film’s scenes. But for some reason, they decided to downplay the romance plot.
