The mutants are making their ways to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recently, Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) has made her debut as the first mutant in her Disney+ TV series. The upcoming Deadpool movie will also feature two of the most well-known mutants from Marvel movies: Wade Wilson and James Howlett, a.k.a Deadpool and Wolverine in Deadpool 3.

#1. The Most Long-awaited Three-quel

It took 20th Century Studios 7 years to release the very first movie about this antihero, starring Ryan Reynolds in 2016. 2 years later, Deadpool 2 premiered and was a global sensation. Until now, everything about the next movie in the franchise is still too scattered for us to picture it.
However, Deadpool 3 already has a long history of being postponed due to various reasons. The first intention of 20th Century Fox was not to continue making this character’s self-titled movies. It was planning to focus on X-Men characters and X-Force heroes. Reynolds himself stated that he did not think of an upcoming solo movie.

It actually shocked the fans of Deadpool, X-Men and the MCU as there were so many rumors of Wolverine’s return. Now the starring actor has made an official announcement himself, teasing an epic collaboration for his next film. Following is Whitney Houston’s timeless hit song, I Will Always Love You, with the subtitled lyrics replacing “you” with “Hugh”. 5 years ago, Jackman starred in Logan, portraying Wolverine for the last time. Therefore, his return after more than a half decade is anticipated by every movie geek.

The second teasing video was uploaded 3 days after the first one. As fans were all excited and curious about what would happen in the next movie featuring their two favorite characters, the duo teased us as if they would reveal more about it by answering fans’ questions and spoiling more. But life is not that easy. The moment right after Mr. Blake Lively says “What actually happens in our film is…”, the video is dubbed by Wham!’s Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and their voice is completely unhearable. What a trick! Eventually, they said thanks to Kevin Feige. That’s it, that’s the end for the second “update” on Deadpool 3.
Despite that, our question about who plays Wolverine in Deadpool 3 is now solved. Furthermore, the production is probably in progress. The movie about this mercenary will officially premiere on September 6th, 2024 and is the first movie in Phase 6 of the MCU.
