Kids With Down Syndrome Pose As Our Beloved Disney Characters
“Everyone is beautiful, no matter whom they were born as.” This is the essential message of the "Down With Disney" campaign by Nicole Louise Perkins. This campaign aims to honor children with Down Syndrome and dispel damaging misconceptions about the syndrome that people hear.
It's that not all Disney characters are instantly loved. Some Disney characters are sometimes shunned because of their differences, such as Tarzan, Elsa, Hercules, and Mulan. But, if they are given a chance and people come to know who they are, they will change the world for the better! So, this photographer came up with the idea of photographing kids with Down syndrome dressed as some of Disney’s most popular characters! This special series went viral, touching the hearts of millions of people all over the world.
