The Norwegian Artist Creates 20 Comics With Unexpected Twists For Dark Humor Lovers

The 53-year-old man is a full-time cartoonist, who lives and works in the western part of Norway, and is also a part-time dad to his kids. He says that he has been drawing since the age of 15. He is well-known for his comic book “Kollektivet” - the Norwegian title of "Chez Cuckoo", which was launched 20 years ago.
Chez Cuckoo is about different people who manage to live together somehow. It revolves around "friendship, feminism, alcohol, gender, religion, metal music, daily disasters, and general screw-ups." shares Torbjørn Lien. "The comic started back in January 2000 as a guest strip in the Norwegian Gary Larson’s Far Side Gallery comic magazine. Chez Cuckoo in Norway has been published in several newspapers, magazines, books, and softcover albums for different publishers over the years."
Admittedly, the man is a lucky artist because he witnessed his artwork translated into English. In 2018, he began publishing Chez Cuckoo for the first time in English so that readers from over the world can enjoy it. What a tremendous achievement for a cartoonist!
