When you're the child of a famous person and can sell pictures of yourself as a baby for hundreds of thousands of dollars, you're pretty much set for life from the moment you're born. You don't have to worry about how to pay your bills, and you probably don't need something like a boring desk job.
But these famous people's children weren't content to live off their parents' fame and money. They worked hard to get out from under the shadow of their parents and make a name for themselves. And they have careers that are pretty impressive to show for it.
1. KATE HUDSON

Goldie Hawn is Kate Hudson's mother. In Almost Famous, Kate debuted as an actress and garnered an Oscar nomination. Since then, she's starred in romantic comedies and was nominated for a Golden Globe for Sia's film Music. She's also the co-founder of Fabletics and King St. Vodka. She just launched INBLOOM beauty supplement powders, hosts a podcast with her brother Oliver Hudson, and is a WW brand ambassador (formerly known as Weight Watchers). All that boosts her $80 million net worth.
2. NICOLE RICHIE

Nicole Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie, was Paris Hilton's childhood pal on The Simple Life. She swiftly emerged from Paris' shadow and went independent. After The Simple Life, she worked on Fashion Star, Candidly Nicole, Great News, and Making the Cut. In 2010, she won "Entrepreneur of the Year" at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards for House of Harlow. Business Insider assessed the company's 2012 value at $2 million. She's also written two novels and had a show on Quibi called Nikki Fre$h, including her hip-hop identity.
3. JADEN SMITH

Jaden, 24, has two famous parents (Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith). His acting career began in 2006 with a role in The Pursuit of Happiness alongside his real-life dad. He's worked with Justin Bieber and published three albums. He launched a denim apparel line with G-Star and has been a partner in spring water company Just Water since he was 12 years old. Young, but already worth $8 million.

Kaia Gerber not only looks like her famous mom
Cindy Crawford but also follows in her footsteps as a fashion model. Kaia is a highly sought-after model who debuted at the tender age of sixteen. The likes of Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Valentino, Chanel, and Michael Kors have all used her as a show model since then. She has also graced the covers of Teen Vogue, Pop Magazine, and Vogue, and, despite her busy modeling schedule, she collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld to design her clothing line, KarlxKaia.
5. O'SHEA JACKSON JR.

Ice Cube's oldest child, O'Shea Jackson Jr., is a rapper. In 2015, he made his first foray into the realm of feature films with Straight Outta Compton, in which he portrayed his famous pop. He has since directed a slew of films, such as Ingrid Goes West (starring Aubrey Plaza), Den of Thieves (starring 50 Cent), Long Shot (starring Seth Rogan and Charlize Theron), and Just Mercy (starring Brie Larson, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Foxx). On his father's album, I Am the West, and he appears on two tracks as a musician.

Rashida Jones is the daughter of 80-time Grammy Award nominee Quincy Jones and The Mod Squad actress Peggy Lipton. Boston Public, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Angie Tribeca, and #blackAF are among her television credits. She's appeared in I Love You, Man, The Social Network, Celeste and Jesse Forever, co-wrote, and On the Rocks. Rashida is also a director (she made Quincy, a Grammy-winning documentary on her father) and co-hosts a podcast with Bill Gates.
7. MARGARET QUALLEY

She's the daughter of Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley. Margaret's 2019 appearance as actress and dancer Ann Reinking in the FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon gained her acclaim. She won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics' Choice Television Award for her role. Since then, she's had a busy filmmaking schedule.
