7 Weirdest Things People Tried To Buy From Celebrities

We are aware that many people have an unhealthy fixation on famous people. Take a look at the throngs of preteens who have framed photos of One Direction in their bedrooms or the Beliebers who are sobbing over Justin Bieber's most recent Instagram post.
Celebrity auctions are the same as other auctions, and the items that are being auctioned are getting stranger by the day, all for the benefit of those who are wealthy and ignorant. Check out some of weird things people buy from celebrities.

1. Britney’s Used Pregnancy Test

More bad news would be if you thought buying Britney's used gum was questionable. After being sold to Canadian radio station Hot 89.9 and later online casino GoldenPalace.com for $5,001, she used a (positive) pregnancy test discovered in the hotel room's wastebasket where she and then-husband Kevin Federline spent the night. The Easter Seal Society, which aids kids with physical limitations, and the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, which aids kids with cancer and their families, received most of the sale's proceeds.

2. Scarlett Johansson’s Snotty Tissue

What about Scarlett Johansson's mucus? If you think buying John Lennon's teeth is nasty, consider this. During a 2008 silent auction, ScarJo's nasal tissue, which she used to blow her nose into on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," received over 80 bids. It was auctioned off on eBay for $5,300, with all proceeds going to the anti-hunger organization USA Harvest. Johansson said that Leno was responsible for the donation. She claimed to have caught a cold from him and that it was more valuable because it came from a famous person.

3. Lady Gaga’s Teacup and Saucer

At a charity auction in May 2012 to aid artists in Japan following the previous earthquake and tsunami, a ceramic teacup stamped with Lady Gaga's lipstick kiss (and a matching saucer) sold for $75,137.50. Words translating to "Prayers for Japan" were engraved on the teacup that went to an unnamed high bidder. Lady Gaga wore it to a press conference in Tokyo three months after the disaster, inspiring the idea to auction it off to benefit the Tomodachi Arts Fellowship Program.

4. John Lennon’s Molar

This is just another piece of evidence that devoted followers are willing to pay exorbitant prices for items that belong to their heroes of choice. In the 1960s, when John Lennon lost a molar, he gave it to his housekeeper, Dorothy "Dot" Jarrett, and suggested she give it to her daughter, a major Beatles fan. Over 40 years later, in November 2011, it was auctioned off and sold for $31,200 to Canadian dentist Michael Zuk.

5. Madonna’s Racy Messages

Madonna's ex-minder and boyfriend, James Albright, claims that in the early 1990s, Madonna left several racy messages on his answering machine. In addition, there were twenty-one faxed declarations of love, with phrases such as, "Just saw the HBO special. It worked out fine. You should see how nice my rump is in person. The words "It looks Bootyful!" appeared in the 2009 New York Gotta Have It catalog! Auction. There was an opening bid of $25,000 for the answering machine tapes and $3,000.

6. James Blunt’s Sister

It's odd, but it ends well. James Blunt wanted to sell his sister on eBay before he became famous. Blunt told GQ in 2007 that she sold her sister on eBay. "I sold everything I owned on eBay while waiting for my debut record. Mild addiction" Not quite. Blunt wanted to help his sister get to an Irish funeral. Guy Harrison won the offer and took her to Ireland in his chopper. They married after three years.

7. William Shatner’s Kidney Stone

William Shatner passed a kidney stone after collapsing on the set of "Boston Legal" in 2005. He kept it and then auctioned it off to benefit the affordable housing organization Habitat for Humanity. As Shatner remarked, organ donation has reached new heights—or new depths. It's not funny that it raised $25,000 for the charity. This is a daring new addition to our fleet," GoldenPalace.com, which has added the item to its collection of bizarre and fantastic celebrity artifacts, said.
