As it turns out, their products aren't necessarily "spiked up" by Aliexpress or Wish. And this time, I'm not talking about the unanticipated tears, ripped seams, odd breast padding, or the color that deviates significantly from the image. Today, we'll look at some clothing articles that contained cleverly concealed elements.
Even though these elements are minute or only visible to the owner on the inside layers, they still provide the product a humorous twist. Occasionally, it's odd washing instructions, labels with motivational sayings (some even provide fashion advice), surprising patterns, or push-up bra padding in the shape of hands.
If other businesses plagiarized these designs, it wouldn't be shocking. It's a customary practice in the field. The most frequent violators are fast-fashion corporations, whose entire business model centers around duplicating trends and bringing them to market rapidly. Big brands constantly rip off little businesses.
Forever 21, for instance, has copied everything from a LA independent brand's phone case to a well-liked feminist blouse to Instagram-famous swimwear to a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist's coat. And these are just a few examples from 2017.
