Fame often comes with money, and that is certainly true for celebrities. However, their luxurious life isn’t always safe. With the fact that almost everybody knows how wealthy they are, they have become an easy target for thieves. Many famous stars were victims of robberies or burglaries. Some were quick hit-and-run cases, while others were more dangerous.
With that being said, here is the list of the most infamous celebrity robberies. Let’s see who lost the largest amount of money, and which case was the most bizarre.
Kim was threatened with a weapon, then gagged and bound with duct tape. Lucky for Kim, the thieves just wanted her possessions and caused her no physical harm. After they had taken what they wanted, they left the building. They got away with an estimated $10 million in jewelry including a $4 million ring from Kanye West.
The burglars took expensive gowns, designer handbags, kid toys, and more. The loss was estimated to be more than $1 million.
Gigi's dad Mohamed Hadid later shared the details with TMZ. He told us that fortunately, the sisters were out when the burglary happened. Only their personal items were taken and none of his daughters were hurt. Gigi was left traumatized by the event nonetheless.
The robbers got bolder after they got away with it. They came back for second, and third. This time, they took both Cyrus’s and her brother’s property, along with her banking card and her Maserati Quattroporte. The car was estimated to be $120,000. However, the thieves were caught, and they paid for what they had done.
The thieves managed to get away with her $13,000 handbag, iPod, and some identification cards. Security footage shows the break-in happening not long after Dunst left with British actor Simon Pegg and assistant Liat Baruch to the film set.
The culprit was Darren February. His DNA was found on the gloves dropped at the scene, as well as a handprint left on a wall that he used to escape the property. February was arrested and sentenced to an eight-and-a-half-year jail sentence.
Alexis Neiers, an aspiring model who had her own reality TV show "Pretty Wild," later confessed to her participation in the crime. She was facing a prison sentence of up to six years if convicted, but by confessing she was given a two-year suspended sentence.

Two days after the incident, a woman brought the dogs to the LAPD. She turned out to be involved with the robbers and was arrested along with four other suspects after the investigation.
