There are two kinds of celebrities in Hollywood that can be divided into two main categories: those who became famous because they were excellent at what they did and worked extremely hard, and those who became famous for no reason. To clarify, we'll be discussing celebrities who became famous because of sex tapes, because they had wealthy parents, or because they happened to be in the company of other famous people.
These people would do anything to remain famous once they were discovered. It doesn't matter if you hated them or not; they prefer living because of that, and they make money thanks to you. Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo Child, rose to fame as a child beauty pageant participant on the reality series "Toddlers & Tiaras," and later her own spinoff, before becoming the star of the infamous TLC show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." "Honey Boo Boo" follows Alana and her family, who are frequently criticized and parodied as disgusting hicks. Alana received fame simply for being the product of a particularly entertaining family - entertaining in a gross kind of way - when she began her TV career at the age of six.

Rose has released a few mediocre singles and some fashion accessories over the years, but her fame arises from one thing only: dating rappers. Rose was in a relationship with Kanye West from 2008 to 2010, which resulted in extensive media coverage and her eventual celebrity. After they divorced, she dated and ended up marrying rapper Wiz Khalifa, but they have since divorced as well.

As a result, she received extensive media coverage and rose to fame. She has since appeared on "Dancing With the Stars," starred in her own Lifetime reality show, and written a memoir. Palin is currently residing in Alaska after calling off her engagement to her child's father.

Abraham rose to fame in 2009 after appearing on the reality show "16 and Pregnant," and she later starred in four seasons of "Teen Mom," which follows the lives of teenage mothers. As if her celebrity.wasn't ridiculous enough, she gained even more notoriety when she sold a sex tape titled "Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom" for $1.5 million.

They're pretty well-known for inciting high school drama. Heidi's fame grew exponentially, as did other aspects of her, when she underwent ten cosmetic surgeries in one day, and the pair have maintained their public profile by finishing as runners-up on "Celebrity Big Brother."

That's literally all she's famous for raising a large number of children on TV, and while that does sound like a lot of work, it's not why she's remained famous. The story does not have a happy ending because Jon and Kate divorced, and Kate and her attention-seeking ways have become reality show standards. She appeared on "Dancing With the Stars" and "Celebrity Apprentice," but was heavily criticized and was eliminated from both.

Naturally, by starring in a sex video and exploiting her spoiled kid attitude. Kardashian skillfully parlayed that into a starring role on the reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," catapulting her to fame. She gained even more attention after divorcing basketball player Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage. Her subsequent marriage to Kanye West cemented her status as a celebrity who is famous for no reason.

#8 Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi

Snooki became famous in late 2009 after appearing on the reality show "Jersey Shore," which followed a group of self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes as they partied and generally behaved like idiots. One of them refers to himself as "The Situation." While she has finally settled down with a husband and children, her fame arises from her outrageous party girl lifestyle and her infamous orange skin. She was eventually paid $150,000 per episode of "Jersey Shore," a hard-earned salary for carousing and trash-talking her pals.

Following her debut as a model and the star of the sex tape "1 Night in Paris," she appeared with friend Nicole Richie in the condescending reality show "The Simple Life," where they struggled to complete manual labor jobs.  Critics have nicknamed her a celebutante, a wealthy family's child who attracts extraordinary amounts of attention without doing anything to deserve it.

She has also written three cookbooks and appeared on "The Celebrity Apprentice," but it is her luxurious lifestyle that has brought her fame and attention. Her adventurous ways came to an end on January 5th, 2015, when she was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for bank, mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud.
