9 Underrated K-POP Bands Deserved To Have More Attention

While competing against more well-known K-pop groups like Blackpink, BTS, Stray Kids, and Twice, less well-known K-pop bands can easily be lost in the shuffle. It is unfortunate since there are many other K-pop performers out there that are more deserving of recognition. It's high time we gave some of K-more pop's obscure artists the attention they so rightfully demand. Which K-pop acts that debuted in 2023 would be the most underappreciated?
Purple Kiss is Mama moo's hoobaes, often known as her juniors; if you like them, you should be a fan of Purple Kiss. They have the same self-assured and serious demeanor, and both songs are incredibly catchy and easy to remember. Searching for a new boy band to obsess over like a teenage girl? Have a look at the TEMPEST. Even though they are a relatively young group from Yuehua Entertainment, they have already established a reputation for themselves thanks to their outstanding dancing and captivating performances.
All of these "nugu" ensembles, whether released on independent record labels or brand new to the scene, deserve your attention. Choose the most underrated K-pop performers in your opinion and explain why they should get more notice.

1. PURPLE KISS

Strangely, nobody seems to care about Purple Kiss. A fantastic group with more mature vibes than other girl groups, much like their sunbaes Mamamoo. Since their inception in 2021, they have released some tremendously catchy singles. On February 15, 2023, they dropped their fifth extended play, titled Cabin Fever, including the single "Sweet Juice" as the album's lead single.

2. OMEGA X

The year 2021 saw the launch of the 11-member boy band OMEGA X. The band was put together by SPIRE Entertainment. Most group members met while competing on reality shows like Mix Nine and Producing 101, which feature young aspiring idols.

3. TEMPEST

TEMPEST is one of the most exciting new acts to watch this year. Their first song, "Bad News," was released on March 2, 2022, and the group has since grown to seven members. Their most recent EP, titled On and On, featured the song "Dragon" and was released in November of 2022.

In other words, everyone should wake up and smell the PIXY. They're a skilled collection of bad girls with an edgy, dark aesthetic. Why wouldn't you enjoy it? Allart Entertainment's former trainee Rinji joined the group on September 27, 2022, replacing Ella and Satbyeol, who had departed the group in August of that year. After the departure of one member, PIXY will carry on with the remaining four.

Want to find a new "teen crush" band? Woo!ah! bubblegum pop aesthetic that nails the charming and youthful notion and can also be vibrant and dynamic in the vein of ITZY and Weki Meki. Their most recent hit, "Rollercoaster," was released on November 16, 2022.

6. TRI.BE

With their captivating on-stage personas and high-octane dance moves, TRI.BE is the type of female group that can totally wow an audience. Everyone in the group can seriously dance. On February 14, 2023, they dropped W.A.Y., their second EP. One of the songs on the album is called "We Are Young," and it is also the album's title.

7. Weki Meki

Most lovers of Korean pop music are probably already familiar with Weki Meki, but the fact that they aren't more well-known is astounding. After all, they're the girls that gave birth to the term "teen crush," which blends the "teenager" and "female crush" ideas common to most K-pop girl groups.

Seven years after their debut, VICTON is still mostly ignored by the K-pop community. Their rap line is tremendously skilled, and they have a history of producing some fantastic tunes. On November 15, 2022, they dropped their eighth EP, Choice, which included the single "Virus" as the album's first single.

9. Lapillus

The female trio Lapillus possesses boundless vitality and musical prowess. You should listen to Lapillus if you enjoy bands like ITZY. Both "Hit Ya!" and "Gratata," their most recent smash hit, are incredible.
