However, they seem to earn the opportunity to be totally unrealistic while still keeping the viewers hooked. So what is the reason that viewers can only shake their heads and giggle at just how weird these movies are? Well, viewers accept them because they're used time and time again and are usually employed to make a story more efficient.

#1 People brush their teeth without toothpaste.

The opening scene of The Devil Wears Prada shows Anne Hathaway's character getting ready for the day ahead. In the scene, you can see that she is brushing her teeth. The foam is absent, though.
When we clean our teeth, toothpaste is always all over our mouth in reality. However, we were unable to detect any toothpaste residue in Anne's mouth. Maybe filmmakers think it doesn't look nice on screen.

#2 Travelers wear new outfits every day.

Although the characters in the television show Word of Honor are complicated, and the narrative is convoluted, eventually viewers start to wonder where the hero gets all of his gorgeous clothes. While his maid only has a fighting whip, he just has his fan. However, he always finds a way to dress differently in every new episode. We may not be able to see him, but it's possible that a caravan loaded with clothes is following him.

#3 Female secret agents and spies can’t live a day without wearing high heels.

Even while having loose hair might not be ideal, it is still preferable to wearing high heels. For instance, the creators of Charlie's Angels appeared to love the idea that the three main heroines had to battle while wearing high heels.

#4 A villain escapes from a fortified prison.

This was previously seen in Kung Fu Panda and The Silence of the Lambs. Even though their arms and legs are in shackles, a villain manages to escape from a guarded cell. In the Wednesday television series, the antagonist also pulled off similar ruse.
In general, the screenwriters' intent is pretty clear. The second season will see the heroine battling a well-known outlaw since they refrained from creating a new evil.

#5 A character suddenly masters a complex skill.

As the main character of the show Wednesday claims, she doesn't have a social media account, a mobile phone, or any computer skills. This is the reason she uses a typewriter to compose her novel. But near the end of the first season, she obtains a smartphone as a present and begins confidently utilizing it.
Assumedly, she is aware of how to operate contemporary phones but dislikes them. But even so, getting acclimated to a device takes time. Wednesday simultaneously flicks through her texts in a manner that suggests she has been using this phone for a long time.

#6 Air ducts are always crystal clean.

Action and thriller characters sometimes have to crawl through air ducts that are so small that they can hardly fit through. Because of the huge fans, the children from Stranger Things have enough room inside the air ducts, which seems quite realistic. Sadly, the air ducts' walls and floor practically shine with cleanliness—something the series' creators should have considered—were not included.

No matter what, female characters' cosmetics and haircuts always look fantastic. Simply observe Natasha Romanoff. Her makeup doesn't move, even after she sprints, sweats, tumbles, and rolls about on the grimy floor.
Additionally, having loose hair during a fight is not advisable since your adversary might grasp it. Would it not make more sense to style it in a bun or ponytail?

#8 A single lighter can activate all fire sprinklers.

We've seen it so many times: a figure lights a fire sprinkler, which activates the entire system and sprays water everywhere. In the movie Constantine, John Constantine employed this tactic to drive away demons. But in reality, it's not all that simple.

#9 A toilet is a dangerous place in movies.

Nobody uses the restroom only to pee in movies. If a character visits there, it usually signifies that they will overhear someone's discussion unintentionally or that they will be assaulted by some wicked monster there.
Hermione was attacked by the Troll in the restroom in the first Harry Potter film. And Harry accidentally cast the spell Sectumsempra on Malfoy after discovering him crying in the bathroom. So, visiting a toilet is undoubtedly dangerous.
