9 Plot Holes In Popular Films That Are As Shocking As They Are Silly

Many movies expect audiences to suspend their disbelief when they head off on some magical mystery journey. Animated films include mythical creatures and talking animals while sci-fi ones show us how technology has advanced in leaps and bounds beyond our current comprehension.
However, some films really annoy viewers because of their neglectful plot holes. Considering they have to undergo pre-production, production, and post-production, it’s surprising some of these get missed. In some cases, maybe viewers didn’t understand what was happening or missed a throwaway line that would’ve explained everything.

#1 The Big Bang Theory

Leonard warns his friend and colleague Howard Wolowitz about the broken elevator but Howard ignored it. However, several episodes later, we find out exactly how it broke. The accident occurred in an experiment by Leonard and Howard witnessed this. So, how could this be news to him if he witnessed it with his own eyes?

#2 Friends

Many viewers wonder when Chandler and Rachel’s friendship began. Rachel first appears in the coffee shop in her wedding dress and was introduced by Monica. However, there are flashbacks showing that Rachel and Chandler have known each other since their teenager years. They even kissed in college.

#3 Game of Thrones

In season 7, the secret was revealed that the White Walkers are afraid of water. However, the fear disappears thanks to the order of the Night King. The Walkers pulled the dragon Viserion out of the icy water he fell into after being struck by a spear. From the scene, it is clear that the undead had to get to the bottom of the lake and tie the dragon up with chains, but how they did it in practice remains a mystery.

#4 Wednesday

After brutally punishing hooligans, Wednesday was transferred to Nevermore Academy where only unusual children with extraordinary abilities are accepted. However, her parents had no idea about her gist so it should have been accepted to Nevermore.

#5 The Office

In the final season of the series, the characters watched a documentary about their lives. However, their reaction after seeing what happened was inconsistent.

#6 The White Lotus

Viewers wonder why all characters eat at the hotel every night when they are in Italy. Even a character complained, “I don’t know why they keep bringing us these menus. We already know them by heart.” Filmmakers gather characters in one place to create more interactions which leads to awkward situations. However, it seems somewhat fake.

#7 The Witcher

At the beginning of the series, Yennefer had no desire to have kids but just after a few episodes, she passionately wants to become a mom. The sorceress secretly finds a way to restore her fertility and even risks her life for it.

#8 Gossip Girl

It turned out that the reveal of the climax is a failure. Many scenes show that Dan was shocked by the news about Serena or about himself that ruled out any possibility of him being Gossip Girl.  Moreover, Gossip Girl was sending messages about the personal life of his sister, Jenny Humphrey, which Dan would never have done.

#9 And Just Like That...

The scene which really takes the biscuits is after finding her husband has a heart attack, Carrie rushes to him and hugs him, instead of calling an ambulance.
