9 Movies That Prove Scriptwriters Really Lack Real-World Knowledge
Clichés are something that Hollywood has been guilty of using over the years. There are always some clichés in movies, no matter how good the movie may be. Some are ridiculous, like taking off your glasses to instantly look more attractive or even 30-year-olds pretending to be teenagers in high school. Or, a car will undoubtedly fail to start while a killer is hot on the protagonist’s tail may have once worked as an effective way to build suspense.
Obviously, audiences are now more likely to roll their eyes than to genuinely fear for the character. It's time to put these movie tropes and clichés to rest...for good. We watch these movies carefully and never overlook things that are simply unrealistic. So, if you've ever watched a movie or TV show and wondered how hackers can easily hack any system by typing on keys, here are 16 clichés to cross off your Hollywood movie bingo card.
For instance, Leonardo DiCaprio was 27 when he portrayed a 17-year-old con artist in Catch Me If You Can, Andrew Garfield was 27 when he donned the Spider-Man suit, Tobey Maguire was 26, and Rachel McAdams was 26 when she played Regina George in Mean Girls.
In the Fast & Furious films, Tej, for instance, simply types in keys to hack the CIA system.

There is a sizable air vent in the wall if the main character is imprisoned in space. Also, it is large enough for a person to crawl through. The front grill is also never screwed into the wall, making it simple to remove with no tools. In actuality, the majority of air vents are limited, need a screwdriver to open, and are completely dark inside.#2 Casting adults as teenagers

Filmmakers find it easier to cast an older actor since teenagers might not have the acting skills to handle the role as well as an adult actor. This action, however, occasionally makes a movie seem unrealistic.

One of the clichés in some science fiction films is that every planet has a breathable atmosphere and that everyone gets out of their spaceship on the planet with no protection. As an example, a Redditor mentions the film Alien: Covenant. According to NASA, if you're in space, you'll need a spacesuit to withstand extreme temperatures, carry oxygen to breathe in the space vacuum, avoid being injured by tiny objects in space dust, protect yourself from radiation, and much more.#4 Hackers can easily hack any system by typing on keys.

There is always a hacker on every team involved in an espionage or heist film. “The hacker who always conveniently knows everything and can break into secure databases by blindly typing at their keyboard.” — F@. The work put into these roles can occasionally be quite minimal. Truth be said, it takes a lot of expertise and work to successfully hack a system. In the Fast & Furious films, Tej, for instance, simply types in keys to hack the CIA system.

Characters with waist-length hair can still battle crime in comic books because they are simply illustrations. But doing so in real life or live-action movies appears nonsensical. But with Black Widow, Marvel was able to fix this problem. She had a head of flowing curls that never get tangled when she initially appeared in Iron Man 2. Her pulled-back braided look, however, proved to be more useful when her stand-alone film, Black Widow, was released.#6 Removing one’s glasses makes a character more attractive.

Many fans really hate it when actors take their glasses off and instantly become more appealing, according to a Redditor. The protagonist suddenly receives a fantastic makeover as a result of this action. Mia also takes off her spectacles and lets her hair down in The Princess Diaries. The same stereotype also applies to men. For instance, Tobey Maguire's crush, Mary Jane, notices him after he takes off his glasses in the movie Spider-Man.#7 Running in heels is easy and comfortable.

“A woman can do everything a man can do, but backward and in high heels,” said actress Ginger Rogers. The latter is literalized in action flicks. The characters run as quickly as they can, which is difficult to achieve in real life while wearing high heels. But, for some reason, the actors and actresses in Jurassic Park, Catwoman, and Inferno can all run without removing their heels.#8 The character never has to wait for a cab or train.

If necessary, the character can always get a cab quickly. They have just left a building and saw a waiting cab passing by immediately. Also, if the protagonist is being followed by some bad guys at a train station, they will hardly make it onto the train that has just departed before the antagonists arrive, arriving a few seconds late and looking angrily at the protagonist as the train departs.#9 The stolen clothes always fit.
The protagonist can take clothes from someone to disguise themselves. Interestingly, such outfits will consistently fit them perfectly. For instance, everyone took Polyjuice Potion in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 to become like Harry. But even so, Harry's smaller clothing was still fit for Fred and George when they arrived at the Burrow after being chased by Death Eaters.Share this article
