#1 Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with hidden easter eggs and cross-references due to its massive, interwoven story spanning more than 20 big-budget films. One of the more subtle mysteries, though, may be found in a moment from "Spider-Man: Homecoming" where Tom Holland made his debut as Peter Parker. There's a scene in which Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner - aka Hulk - can be seen pictured alongside other famous scientists in Peter Parker's class. Blink and you'll miss!

#2 Toy Story 4 (2019)

Since the release of the first "Toy Story" in 1995, Pixar has produced a body of work that is both an animation masterclass and a collection of brilliant films. But a few people know a mishap that may have spoiled it all and "Toy Story 4" provides an incredible reference to it. In the scene where Bo Beep and Woody part ways, the car that came to get the toy was given a license plate "RMR F97". This code was the cause of the incident during the production of Toy Story 2, which resulted in the entire movie being deleted! Thankfully, the Technical Director and the Production Designer retained a backup and the rest of history!

#3 Doctor Strange (2016)

Together with sorcery and sparkling shields, time is one of Doctor Strange's possible major themes. But there's a small detail in the Sorcerer Supreme's origin story that really gets our minds ticking. We learn from the opening credits that Dr. Stephen Strange, a well-known but arrogant surgeon, meets his demise in a fatal car accident on February 2, also known as Groundhog Day. Film buffs will be all too familiar with Bill Murray's masterwork of the same name, in which he is forced to repeatedly live and relive the same day. That this links to the pivotal fight between Strange and Dormammu—which, of course, we're not about to spoil—is nothing short of a Marvel masterstroke...

#4 Frozen (2013)

Elsa’s coronation day is one of the most important scenes in "Frozen". It's Elsa's coronation, and to Anna's joy, they'll open the gates because there will be living people from all over to celebrate for the first time in their lives. They even crossed the line from one much-loved Disney animated movie to another. When Anna stepped out of the castle and joined the throngs that were coming to celebrate the occasion, she surpassed some people. And Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from "Tangled" are actually the unassuming couple among them. If you blink you'll miss this!

#5 Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)

Who would have thought that when E.T. called home, someone in a galaxy far, far away would have answered? With "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace", George Lucas accomplished just that. The galactic senate is in uproar when Queen Amidala motions a vote-of-no-confidence in the presiding Chancellor. As the camera pans around the room, we spot Steven Spielberg's iconic alien-looking trio. Lucas is actually honoring the promise he made to Spielberg, who included numerous allusions to Star Wars in his 1982 blockbuster, including trick-or-treaters dressed as Yoda and Boba Fett. Thus, the Asogian race was given a significant role in Star Wars mythology.

#6 Scream (1997)

Easter EggsSource: Scream (1997)

"Scream" is predictably packed full of on-the-nose references to the genre that was once supposed to be reserved for schlocky horror, which is fitting for a movie that is essentially a love letter to slasher horrors. Our favorite is funnier than the others and features director Wes Craven as a cameo. The paranoid high school principal played by Henry Winkler feels danger and searches the hallways for the homicidal Ghostface. But, his search only turns up Craven's portrayal of High School janitor Fred as the iconic horror character Freddy Krueger, who appeared in Craven's earlier film "A Nightmare On Elm Street".

#7 Back To The Future (1985)

“Make like a tree and get outta here!” Unfortunately, Biff's request for Marty McFly in "Back To The Future" came true for one of the Hill Valley's beloved pines. But director Robert Zemeckis cleverly turned this minor point into a subtle nod to the viewer. At the beginning of the film, Marty and Doc Brown first meet in Twin Pines Mall. However, the mall's name has changed by the time he travels back to 1985. This is because when Marty first arrived in 1955, he accidentally knocked over a pine tree with DeLorean, the mall later became known as Lone Pine Mall.

#8 The Greatest Showman (2017)

It would seem risky for Hugh Jackman to give up his claws and X-Man outfit for The Greatest Showman. But with the overwhelming success of the emotional epic, his performance as P.T. Barnum was another unbridled breakthrough in the Australian actor's career. In the smash musical's credits, his inimitable mutant alter-ego Wolverine played a cryptic cameo. In Executive Producer James Mangold’s title card, we can find Wolverine’s arms and claws with an easter egg head. Mangold also directed Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine.

#9 Shazam! (2019)

Linked up by actors, directors, VFX artists, and production companies - it's no surprise that the characters have even crossed the fictional veil between the DC Universe and The Conjuring Universe. However, the filmmakers focus on one relationship that is unsettling and repetitive more than others. The opening scene from "Shazam!" features two police officers looking into a fake pawn shop burglary that Billy has an easter egg. we can distinctly see an Annabelle doll perched on the shelves. The possessed puppet has been in the DC Universe before: in "Aquaman", she was spotted prowling the sea.
