While the pregnancies of some of these great mothers were incorporated into the plots of their respective roles, others hid their growing bellies behind bulky props and costumes. This list of pregnant actresses who have worked in cinema and television is generally ordered by the level of celebrity each actress has achieved.

Helena Bonham Carter directed Tim Burton's 2007 picture Sweeney Todd while she was seven months pregnant with their first child.
There have been several pregnant actresses and other TV personalities. Season five of "Sex and the City" was shot while Sarah Jessica Parker was pregnant with her first child.
