9 Amazing Characters Who Single-Handedly Saved Bad TV Shows

Are you tired of flipping through channels, only to find boring and predictable TV shows? We've all been there, stuck with a show that we know is terrible, but for some reason, we just can't seem to turn it off.
That is, until a hero emerges, a character that takes the show from "meh" to "must-watch." Just like how Spencer turned
"iCarly" from trash into treasure, these are the characters that have saved bad TV shows, single-handedly bringing them back from the brink of cancellation.
From quirky sidekicks to brooding anti-heroes, these incredible characters have captured our hearts and kept us coming back for more. They've breathed new life into stale plotlines, delivered killer one-liners, and kept us on the edge of our seats. Seriously, these TV shows are complete trash without them! So get ready to laugh, cry, and cheer as we celebrate the unsung heroes of the small screen!

#1 Chanel #3 – Scream Queens

Hey, have you seen Billie Lourd in Scream Queens? She was like the best thing out of that show, the funniest and most memorable character by far. We think she deserves her own show where she can be the wicked queen or something, like, ASAP. But until then, we'll be sitting here patiently waiting for a spinoff featuring Chanel #3 or Gigi from Booksmart.

#2 Ambrose – Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Source: Netflix

Let me tell you, Sabrina from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was about as good at decision making as a blindfolded monkey playing darts. But you know who was a genius at making the right choices? AMBROSE. He was smarter, funnier, and more captivating than Sabrina, but it's like the showrunners were blind to his brilliance.

#3 Stiles – Teen Wolf

Source: MTV

Teen Wolf was like a B-movie on steroids, but it was the good kind of bad. And you know what made it tolerable? Dylan O'Brien and his epic wit and charm. But let's not forget about Stiles, the real MVP of that show. He was the king of snappy one-liners and the emotional anchor that kept the show from sinking into a sea of cheese.
But when Stiles left for the last season and the movie, it was like watching a werewolf turn into a poodle. The magic was gone, and the show was just bad with a capital B.

#4 Spencer – iCarly

Let's be real, iCarly wasn't exactly groundbreaking television. It was like a cup of lukewarm cocoa on a chilly day — it would do, but it wasn't anything to write home about. But you know who was the real star of the show? SPENCER. He was like a mad scientist with a heart of gold, and it felt like he was the only one who would have carried the show on his shoulders.
In fact, why not make it an adult sitcom with him as the lead and the kids as the wacky sidekicks? He deserves a show that's as good as he is, not some tepid tween sitcom.

#5 Lauren – Faking It

Source: MTV

Lauren from Faking It was like a character from Glee who wandered onto the wrong set. Her snappy one-liners and quick wit were wasted on that show, and we bet she would have killed it on the singing and dancing front too. It's a shame that Faking It didn't give her more screen time because she could have been the show's secret weapon.
Plus, Lauren was the first intersex character on a teen drama, and that's a big deal. She deserved better than to be stuck in a canceled show with a half-baked storyline.

#6 Joe West – The Flash

Joe West from The Flash is the show's MVP, and anyone who says otherwise is probably just jealous of his dad bod. Sure, Barry may have the speed, but Joe's got the heart and soul that makes this show worth watching. While Barry's off brooding and making questionable decisions, Joe's there being a supportive dad and giving us all the warm fuzzies. Honestly, if it weren't for Joe, we don't think anyone would’ve even cared about the Flash anymore.

#7 Mona – Pretty Little Liars

Mona was like the Hannibal Lecter of Pretty Little Liars, except she's way hotter and more fashionable. The show would have been as exciting as a cucumber sandwich without her, and the writers knew it. It's like they tried to kill her off but realized that they couldn't handle the lack of her genius scheming.

#8 Emma – Once Upon a Time

Source: ABC

Once Upon a Time was great at the beginning, but once they solved the whole "curse" thing, the show kind of lost its spark. How did they keep it going for so long, you ask? Simple: Emma. She was the only character who consistently had interesting things going on, while the others just kind of wandered around aimlessly. The other characters (including Regina) were boring, but Emma managed to drag them along for a few more seasons.

#9 And Finally, FP – Riverdale

Source: The CW

You know what's better than watching a bunch of moody teenagers fumble their way through an unnecessarily convoluted mystery? Watching Skeet Ulrich, aka FP, be a total bad boy worth rooting for. The only reason we cared about Alice's storyline was because of her tumultuous relationship with FP. He brought some much-needed realism to a show that was one step away from aliens invading.
In fact, we wouldn't be surprised if FP and his Southside Serpents showed up on The Walking Dead next season.
