In many countries, people have held numerous canine beauty pageants that have captured lots of attention. But they haven't caught up with dog owners' desire to turn their four-legged pals into furry kings and queens. Therefore, a group of canine experts created a virtual playground for all woofing furballs, which was a great idea for every dog lover.
Since 2015, the Twitter page WeRateDogs has received millions of contestants worldwide. Each submitted dog is rated based on the look, background story, facial expression, and attitude. With more than 9.1 million followers, the promising su-paw-stars will have a chance to rise. Matt Nelson, the original creator of this viral Twitter account, reveals that he means nothing but to lift adorable creatures.
Not only bring excitement to the doggo community, but the WeRateDogs page also expands into charity. Through fundraising once a week since 2016, they have already raised over $2 million to help cover medical expenses for various doggies whose families can't afford their treatments. Plus, they have had several animal shelters to rescue those in need.
