A Redditor with the account u/deadpoetsunite shared the funny story about how her puppy got the name and ended up making the internet burst out laughing.
A few years ago, the poster found a little dog on the road, so she intended to keep her while trying to look for the owner. She called the dog “pup” and brought her along when she traveled around the gas stations in the small town with flyers. Then one day, a cute 6-year-old girl at the station asked the poster to pat the dog.

The little girl wanted to know the dog’s name, but she received the answer “ask her” after asking the owner. Unfortunately, the girl mistook the joke for a serious reply, so she grinned honestly at the Redditor and complimented that strange “name”.

As the poster did not plan to adopt the dog, she continued keeping the name “Asker” for several days. Surprisingly, this supposedly temporary nickname has been attached to the dog for four years until now.
