The original poster wrote her story on the salty subreddit r/ProRevenge with an account name u/JDROONEY10012002. She described her family pet Bonnie as the sweetest dog she'd ever met who was just attacked terribly on her leg by a dangerous hostile unleashed Staffordshire bull terrier when she was going out with the OP's grandma on the field nearby for a walk. Not only that, the Staffy even wounded the old lady while she was trying to chase him away without hurting him. During the assault, his owner didn't mind interventing, which enraged the OP more.

The Op's family filed a law case sent to the local court as Bonnie had her injured leg removed due to her inability to recover. At the court, they only penalized the Staffy's owner by making her cover all the vet bills with no more compensation or house arrest for the violent dog or else. That was when the OP had the idea to foster revenge on her own. She and her other family members spread the Staffy's pics along with a caution of a vicious dog and ignorant owner. In the end, that woman had to relocate with her dog.

In the comment zone under the pinned post, Redditors felt sorry for the poor pet as they expected the authorities to do more about owning fierce dogs. They wished the animal department could publish a complete guideline about it as well as have a checklist for the threatening canines' owners to follow.

Some Redditors supposed it was still a good gravy for the Staffy's woman because she might run away from the penalty as she rehomed to a farther location. The OP responded that her family didn't care about money but just wanted the neglectful lady to comprehend the feeling of having her life ruined. Eventually, after one year of suffering, Bonnie passed away so there were no more vet bills to be paid.
