Growing older is not a good thing. It's like reaching a terrible point in life. Some celebrities, however, are exceptions. A lot of famous people are now too old to appear on television. It was long considered a noticeable sign of aging and was not appropriate with the celebs' images (which are considered to be always young and lively).
