Following her 2013 VMAs performance, former Disney actress Miley Cyrus insured her tongue for $1 million (£665,000). In order to overcome her fears in front of the media, Cyrus started putting her tongue out in pictures. Since then, she has developed a deep connection to it. "I put my tongue out because I didn't know what to do with my face, and it turned into a defiant, punk rock thing", she claimed.

#2 Rihanna’s legs – $1 million

Although Rihanna hasn't spoken anything about it, her legs are reputedly worth $1 million (£509k). After earning Gillette's Venus Breeze Celebrity Legs of a Goddess award in 2007, she reportedly decided to insure her legs so she would be insured if they ever stopped looking like goddesses.

Madison, a former resident of the Playboy Mansion, thinks that making this choice was wise for her profession because "If anything happened to my boobs, I'd be out for a few months and I'd probably be out a million dollars."

Since 2000, Polamalu, who was hired as a spokesperson for Head & Shoulders in 2010, had not had his hair trimmed, and the product even has a Facebook page where supporters can express their gratitude. In order to raise money for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation, Polamalu then decided to chop off four of his spectacular curls in 2013.
