These 13 Former Child Stars Are Turning 30 This Year, You Won’t Believe It’s Already 2022

2021 passed with just a blink of an eye. Nobody would have thought that the 1990s were three decades ago. What’s even more amazing is that a lot of famous child actors attached to our childhood turn 30 this year — yes, the big 3-0. Many well-known celebrities, from Disney Channel stars to Nickelodeon faves, will take their first step into their 30s.
If you were a child in the early 2000s, you probably have memories of running to the theater to see Spy Kids or turning on the Disney Channel to see the most recent Hannah Montana episode. It's incredible to imagine that our fictional heroes are now mature adults. (Some have even tied the knot!) For instance, in 2018, singer Meghan Trainor and actor Daryl Sabara, who portrayed Juni Cortez in Spy Kids, were married. Even sharing is done side by side.

#1 Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner made his big screen debut as Sharkboy in 2005's The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D before turning fans into swooning werewolves in the Twilight franchise as Jacob Black. He was cast as Elliot Murtaugh in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 the same year. He quickly became a teen darling because to his Twilight series part, dating girls like Taylor Swift and Lily Collins, in just a few short years. On February 11, the actor, who is from Michigan, will be 30.

Prior to landing the part of Miley's closest friend Lily Truscott in Hannah Montana, Emily Osment gained recognition for her early work as Gertie Giggles in the Spy Kids series. Osment switched from acting to singing while taking on diverse parts in television movies including Dadnapped and Cyberbully. On March 10, the Young & Hungry actor will commemorate his 30th birthday.

#3 Spencer Breslin

The elder brother of the actress Abigail Breslin, Spencer Breslin, started his acting career at the age of 3 by participating in more than 50 commercials. Prior to playing Curtis the Elf in The Santa Clause 2, he co-starred with Bruce Willis in Disney's The Kid when he was just 7 years old. In films like The Cat in the Hat and The Happening, he also made an appearance. On May 18, Breslin turns thirty.

When the first Spy Kids film debuted in cinemas, Daryl Sabara was just 9 years old. Sabara played Juni Cortez, the eldest member of a family of covert spies, in the film. With roles in The Polar Express, Father of the Pride, and Ben 10, he proceeded to enjoy a prosperous career as a voice actor. Riley is the son of his marriage to singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor in 2018. On June 14, Sabara will turn thirty.

Sam Puckett, the tomboyish best friend of Carly on the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly, which starred Miranda Cosgrove as the title character, was Jennette McCurdy's breakout role. Before beginning a career in country music, she additionally made appearances on series including Malcolm in the Middle and Victorious. On June 26, the "Generation Love" singer will be 30.

#6 Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez began her career in show business on the television program Barney & Friends, similar to Demi Lovato. After portraying the feisty sorceress Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place as a teenager, she rose to fame on the Disney Channel. Gomez proceeded to have a successful acting and singing career, appearing in Another Cinderella Story and releasing singles that reached the top of the charts. On July 22, she will be 30.

With her roles as Marie Alweather in the 1998 film Paulie and Erika Tansy in How to Eat Fried Worms, the "Pepsi Girl" transitioned into acting on the big screen. Eisenberg is the younger sister of The Social Network actor Jesse Eisenberg, thus acting prowess runs in the family. She will be 30 on August 2.

When they were chosen to play the main characters in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody on the Disney Channel, Dylan Sprouse and his identical twin brother Cole were just around 13 years old. Zack, the more naughty member of the sibling combo, was portrayed by Sprouse. The Sprouse brothers immediately appeared in a spinoff, The Suite Life on Deck, when the first series finished in 2008. After that, Sprouse took a break from acting to enroll at NYU and start a meadery in Williamsburg. On August 4, he will turn 30.

In The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, Cole Sprouse appeared with his brother Dylan.Sprouse portrayed Cody, who was less gregarious and more focused than Zack. But before that, he appeared on the venerable NBC comedy Friends as Ross Geller's kid. After The Suite Life On Deck, Sprouse, like his brother, put his academics and other interests—such as photography and archaeology—first. The Riverdale actor will be 30 on August 4 and celebrates his birthday with his twin brother.

#10 Demi Lovato

Unbelievably, when she was just 10 years old, Demi Lovato landed her first acting role in the kids' TV Show Barney & Friends. Alongside Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, Lovato performed her heart out in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock in 2008. The Disney Channel series Sonny With a Chance was where the star later displayed their comic talents. However, music ultimately became their major love; in the US, she has sold over 24 million CDs. On August 20, Lovato turns 30.

Nick Jonas honed his performance abilities on the Broadway stage at the age of 7 before joining the Jonas Brothers. Actually, Jonas' initial single caught Columbia Records' notice; Joe and Kevin made up the rest of the band. The Jonas Brothers made appearances in Camp Rock and their own Disney Channel sitcom, Jonas, as their fame rose. On September 16, the actor from Jumangi: Welcome to the Jungle, who is currently wed to Priyanka Chopra, will turn 30.

Miley Cyrus made her television debut in 2006 on the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, in which she portrayed a regular girl who, at night, donned a blonde wig to become a well-known pop singer. The daughter of country musician Billy Ray Cyrus started her own singing career after Hannah Montana. With tracks like "See You Again," "Party in the U.S.A." and "Wrecking Ball." she has subsequently dominated the charts. The 23rd of November marks Cyrus' 30th birthday.

Prior to playing the starring part of Teddy Duncan in Good Luck Charlie, Bridgit Mendler had a recurring role on Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney Channel. She starred as the shy singer-songwriter Olivia White in the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth a year later. She also had a successful solo music career; in the United States, the song "Ready or Not" has Gold certification. The multihyphenate is now, however, concentrating on her studies because she is a PhD candidate at MIT. On December 18, Mendler will be 30.
