Having No-Kid Crisis, Middle-Aged Man Caused His Sister-In-Law An Awful Headache By Turning Her Into A Good Mom For Dog

Several animal lovers wish to consider their downy friends as their born children, but not everyone finds it comfortable. In each person's heart, the pet has a place that differs from the others. It's awkward and cute to see someone acting as a pet mom, a pet dad, a pet grandmom, or a pet granddad. However, it would be rude if somebody tried to force his/her way of thinking upon others. Reddit gave so much funny hardcore advice on this trouble under the post by a user u/Safe_Yogurtcloset862 on the topic r/relationships. Continue to see the backdrop!

The OP (original poster) was a middle-aged married woman. At her family's latest Christmas party, every member was given a calendar printed with the only grandkid in the family's pictures as a present. The OP's brother-in-law (whom the OP temporarily called Simon) didn't look happy with it. When the grandmom offered her gift to her only little grandchild, Simon spoke straight to the family that his three dogs should be presented too. The grandma apologized and promised the next party she would buy gifts for his dogs.

Simon didn't find the promise enough for him. He suggested the OP join hands with him in printing their doggy calendar. He took a fancy wearing a "dog dad" shirt. Besides, he wished the OP to wear a "dog mom" shirt too, which she was never interested in. Hence, she hoped Reddit would advise her to politely get out of this problematic situation.

Reddit users commenting supposed her to refuse Simon while remaining to be nice. All the OP had to do was to be clear to him that she might have lots of love for her dogs but it didn't mean child and dog were at the same level in her heart. To be reasoned, he couldn't make her help him just because he assumed she felt the same way as him.

Some people gave their point of view that the OP had better not pay too much attention to Simon's jealousy of the kid issue. She just needed to talk to her sister and then let that couple solve the problem themselves. To be honest, the OP didn't have to over-explain to him while she had the right to say a big fat "No".

The other comments were just joking around to think of some way to embarrass the fragile brother-in-law. Even when he was feeling down with his niece, he did react overly obnoxiously. It was clueless for him to compete with such a little girl and pressure a sibling to take his side.
