Cat or Spouse: Woman Kicked Out Her Boyfriend For Telling Her Beloved Cat “Worthless”

Have you ever thought that one day you’d have to choose between your lover and your cat? What would you do if your boyfriend/girlfriend behaved so poorly to your lovely cat? Your furry sleepy little friend or your spouse, either way you’re going to get hurt and things are going to be very confusing. Nevertheless, to find a soulmate for each of ourselves, especially for people who have different habits, that is what it takes.
A young woman posted her story on Reddit asking if she was right or wrong telling her boyfriend to leave her apartment after he’d said mean words to her cat. She was twenty-four years old, he was thirty; she was a cat person, he was a dog lover, yet they’d fallen in love and wanted to live together. She had a cat named Millie who’d befriended her since it was a kitten. Her boyfriend knew Millie was extremely important to her, therefore he tried to treat the cat nicely, but in some occasions, he told her that he was fond of dog and that he’d get rid of her cat. The young woman didn’t take his words seriously since she thought it was just a joke.

After considering for a while, her man moved in. She began to notice her boyfriend’s hating cat attitude. Once she heard him saying “You’re so worthless” to Millie with a malicious tone. Never have heard him talking like that, she freaked out yelling at him and asked him to leave immediately even though he had no place to live at that moment. He finally left her crying while holding the cat.
The young woman felt guilty so she told her story on social network. Lots of people were on her side. They talked to her boyfriend. He expressed to be disappointed for his girlfriend looking down on him. Time went by, they were both calmed and wanted to talk all over again. He explained he’d been just playing with the cat and that misbehavior wasn’t on purpose. They eventually made up with each other and she agreed to let him come back living in her apartment.
The story seemed to have a good ending, still the young woman didn’t feel right. Despite knowing that she might have overreacted, she didn’t believe him slipping on his words and misjudging his tone. On the social network, people worried about Millie and pointed out that letting him back wasn’t safe for the cat. They consumed that he got issues, one of which was his over jealousy of the cat.
