Artist Colorizes Photos Of Golden Age Hollywood Actors, And The Results Are Astonishing

Color photography brings pictures to life by highlighting every vibrant detail. However, photographers in the past could only represent the world through black-and-white pictures. Have you ever wondered what exactly the photographers were seeing at the time?
Colorists Marina Amaral, Andrea Erali, and Olga Shirinina, who have previously been featured on Bored Panda, spend hours recreating vintage black and white images. They add a modern air to these golden age photos, and the results are astonishing. It's quite a complex and time-consuming task that requires not only excellent editing abilities but also historical knowledge and research in order to color the image as real as possible.
With the rapid growth of AI and machine learning, I wondered if this meticulous work might be performed by technology as well as by humans. An artist name Hidrėlėy discovered the DeepAI picture colorization API, which allows you to colorize black and white photos and movies in a matter of seconds.
He applied the test with these legendary B&W photographs of stars from Hollywood's golden era, and the results are far from perfect!
