The Fantastic Four series has been loved, revived, misinformed, and deceived like no other Marvel product. With multiple films under their belt, Marvel's first family has fared far better on paper and the tiny screen than on the big screen (though the 2005 movie is finding a new resurgence among nostalgia junkies these days).

The Fantastic Four will go down in history as the worst superhero film of the decade, beating even Batman v. Superman and Dark Phoenix.
Hyperbolic people who walk out of a movie they don't enjoy will proclaim it the worst film ever made. It makes no difference whether the movie is good or not. They'll despise it. The way we feel about a movie might shift over time.
People who liked Star Wars: The Phantom Menace now agree it was a bad movie, while others who despised it have a newfound respect for it. This is why, in most cases, the passage of time is a good predictor of what is and isn't the finest film of a certain genre in a given decade.
