Korean Artist Recreates Disney Characters With A Korean Makeover

Disney Princesses are the lead characters in many of the greatest animation movies and become incredibly iconic characters along the way. And one of the features that make them quite so famous is their beautiful gowns. So, it is no wonder that Disney princess dresses have been recreated, and celebrated by people of all ages around the world. You can see these beauties in gorgeous wedding dresses or modern royal-style dresses. However, all of these versions have one thing in common, that is, they have not had a breakthrough outside of Western beauty. From Belle's golden dinner dress to Elsa's shimmering ice dress, all of which are imbued with Western cultural identities. So, ever wondered how your favorite Disney princesses would look if they were recreated with Eastern Asia-influenced art styles?
To answer this question, Korean illustrator Na Young Wu redesigned familiar characters from western fairy tales (including several that have been adapted by Disney) and remade them as traditional Korean characters.
