In 1997, the world was first introduced to Harry Potter when Rowling published "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". The first book grabbed readers of all ages, and it launched a young-adult fantasy fiction series that has since become a cult classic. In 2000, the fandom exploded to a new level when Warner Brothers began a film series adapting the novels. Rowling's story continued with the seventh book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", which was published in 2007. And the films were completed a few years later with the release of the second part of the Deathly Hallows adaptation in 2011.
