Lifelong friendships are incredibly rare. It's even rarer when you and your friend are both celebrities. Since it means both you and your best friend have made it in life. Both have become incredibly rich and incredibly famous. And the best part is? You're still friends with each other. That Hollywood fame didn't change your friendship at all. What more could you ask from life?
Well, we have compiled a list of
celebs who you may or may not know are lifelong friends, way before fame came knocking at their doors. You'd probably believe Ryan Gosling and
Justin Timberlake are lifelong friends, and Demi Lovato and
Selena Gomez. But would you believe the same about Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito?

#1 Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake

Both performers met as tweens in 1993 through The Mickey Mouse Club. After the Canadian actor's mother had to return to work, Timberlake's mother became Gosling's legal guardian during the final six months of filming. "We were definitely a little closer than the rest of the kids on the program only because we had to share a restroom," the singer admitted.
#2 Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez

Gomez and Lovato are both young actresses who previously performed together on Barney & Friends. They were good friends while they were teenagers and both appeared on
Disney Channel series. However, their friendship has had its ups and downs over the years, and it has been alleged that the two are no longer close.

Shields revealed on Instagram a day after Linney celebrated her 56th birthday that they were childhood pals in a flashback shot. "Went waaaay back into the archives for this one," she captioned the shot.
#4 Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera

When they were cast as members of the All New Mickey Mouse Club as youngsters in the early 1990s, the singers met. They both had great careers, with Spears releasing her first single in 1998 and Aguilera releasing hers a year later.
#5 Tobey Macguire and Leonardo DiCaprio

Stars who began out as kid actors used to run into each other at auditions. DiCaprio noted that he and Maguire shared many similarities, including being born in Los Angeles and reared by single mothers. They first featured together as teenagers in the 1993 film A Boy's Life. Both actors appear to be very close as adults since they are frequently seen hanging out together.

Tyler is the daughter of rocker Steven Tyler, and Hudson refers to actress Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson as her mom and dad. Both females grew up together and went through high school together. They are still friends and pay tribute to one another on social media.

The two child stars met in the 1990s and even appeared on screen together at the age of 12 in the 1993 film The Good Son. When asked if they are still friends, Culkin responded on his social media page that of course, they're pals, a humorous reference to their film.
#8 Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts

The two Hollywood stars met at one of Sydney's best all-girls high schools and have been close ever since. They both appeared on screen together in a 1991 film and indicated a wish to work together again on a new project. Watts claimed that she and Kidman had been talking about it for far too long, and they've got to make it happen, but they're still waiting on the right piece of material.

Both TV celebrities were pals long before they became famous. Kardashian even shared a flashback photo of herself and Richie when they were 13 years old on social media. The childhood pals also sat together at Paris Hilton's wedding reception and posed for photos during Paris Fashion Week, 20 years after their teenage shot was taken.

They are unquestionably Hollywood icons nowadays, but their friendship began long before either of them had established their professions. In reality, the two met on the beach 55 years ago, in 1967, when they were both 23 years old – Douglas described his meeting with DeVito as the beginning of a long, long friendship.
