22 Roles Where Ming-na Wen Was The Perfect Casting

Ming-na Wen has had many famous roles throughout her career, but her big break came from Disney. She was the voice of Mulan, the warrior princess who save her whole country.
Since then, Wen has had many Disney-related projects, where she embodies fierceness and fearlessness. This includes Agent May in Marvel’s Agent of SHIELD, and Fennec Shand from The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian.
Her most recent role in the Star War franchise is actually her dream comes true. Wen has waited 4 decades to be cast for a role in the iconic franchise. For Wen, Fennec Shand shares many attributes with her: she has skills, and she is honest and fearless. This connection makes the character even more personal for her.
And the Star War fanbase cannot be happier for Wen to be on the franchise. And that doesn’t happen a lot. Star War fans are fierce. And opinionated. She even continues voicing Fennec Shand in the animated show.

The biggest break in her career is probably Disney Princess Mulan. She continues to voice the character in other Disney’s media as well, including Ralph Breaks the Internet, Sofia the First, House of Mouse, and the Kingdom Hearts video games.

#2 Chun-Li in Street Fighter

Before others try to portray the iconic female fighter, Including Nicky Minaj, Street Fighter’s Chun-Li was first played by Ming-na Wen. The movie sets the groundwork for her future work in action Movies. She continues to voice the character in Street Fighter: The Movie too.
