Woman Gets Criticized By Her Housemate For Giving Up Her Dog, But She Doesn't Regret It

There are a lot of issues that can unexpectedly arise between you and your roommate.
One woman who goes by the username Infinite-Run-9626 took to Reddit's AITA forum to share her situation and ask if she was wrong for leaving her housemate's dog with a charity. Her ex-housemate Jade criticized her on social media after discovering what she did, but she didn't regret it.
Naturally, this sounds awful and no one can accept her action. However, after she explained what happened, Redditors sided with her and thought she'd made the right call. Here’s how it all went down.
The OP said she didn't really pay much attention to Jade's dog, but she didn't mind living with Jade and didn't protest when she bought the dog home. However, things got messy when Jade got sick and had to go back to her parent's house. She asked OP to watch her dog, and OP agreed.
"Jade got sick and had to go back to her parent's house. She said it would only be for a couple of weeks so I agreed to watch her dog. That was in July," the OP shared.

The woman then moved out of her old flat and left Jade's dog at the shelter - where he was quickly adopted by a good family. But Jade recently called OP and asked if OP wanted to live with her again and if she could collect her dog.
"I told her I had given him up after not getting a response for months," wrote the woman. "She blew up at me. She said I couldn't leave her dog at a shelter and that I was being inconsiderate and she had to leave for medical reasons and didn't want to but couldn't bring her dog."

Hard no, Reddit quickly responded.
