College Student Kicks Her Roommate Out Because She Adopts A Dog, Reddit Cheers Her On

A final year college student who goes by the username odiodenarizentupido took to Reddit to find out if she was in the wrong for asking her roommate (also her friend) to move out because she adopted a dog. In the popular subreddit “Am I The A—hole?”, the 22-year-old student shared that she had the privilege of getting an apartment from her family for having attended a prestigious college. Her apartment was large and had a spare room. Therefore, when her friend Lena was trying to find somewhere to live, she offered her that room and just asked her to help pay for internet/water.

Everything was pretty nice until Lena brought a dog home without asking her permission. OP had a dog allergy, and her roommate knew it. However, Lena tried to convince her that it was a mild allergy and it would not be the problem, so she gave in.

Unluckily, her allergy became worse when living with the dog Bruno. She had to take medication every day to keep from sneezing and stuffy nose. Therefore, she talked to Lena and asked if she would give Bruno to someone. Lena was angry and said no.

The student had no choice but to ask Lena to move out. Lena acted as if she was the victim and told her friends that the girl kicked her out because of a dog.

After reading her post, Redditors agreed that she was not the a**hole. The roommate deserves to be criticized for getting a pet without asking her roommate. She is renting one of the rooms in OP's apartment. It is rude to bring a pet into a house someone is being kind by letting you stay at without asking.
