16 Key DC Characters That Need To Appear In The DCEU ASAP!!!

The DCEU - DC’s Extended Universe, is one of the flagship cinematic universes right now. With millions of preexisting comic fans, it is one of the most prolific universes at the moment.
Dc isn’t really a lack of live adaptions. Even back in the 60s, the holy trinity Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman had their own TV shows and movies. But they are their own movies, with no correlations to each other.
It has been almost a decade since Man of Steel, DCEU’s first cornerstone came to the silver screen. Since then, the DCEU has released a constant stream of blockbusting hits like Wonder Woman, Shazam, and Aquaman earning billions for the Warner Bros studio.
But with almost 90 years of history, the DC comic house still has many characters in their roster. That means the possibility for movies is endless! Take a look at 16 DC characters that fans are dying to see on screen.

#1 Robin/Nightwing

The first-ever sidekick for DC’s comics, it has been a long time since we last saw any portrayal of Robin in movies. As the first Robin, Dick Grayson is one of the most wholesome hand-to-hand combatants, which makes for amazing fight scenes. Not to mention, he is the hottest boy in the DCU. Imagine if that’s translated into the screen. Chris O'Donnell is still hot!

#2 Green Arrow

The Emerald City archer and billionaire playboy, Oliver Quill, was already mentioned in the DCEU’s canon series Peacemaker. This makes it only natural for him to show up. Fans are pining for him to be paired with Jurnee Smollett’s Blck Canary to form one of DC’s most famous power couples.

#3 Zatanna

Yes, Zatanna, the sorceress who disguised herself as a stage magician. What sets Zatanna apart from other magic users? She speaks everything backward. As one of the most powerful magic users on Earth, fans have been waiting for years to see Zatanna on the big screen. And we are in luck, because DC is developing her movie at the moment?

#4 Orion

With Darkseid finally being introduced into the DCEU, it paves the way for his biological child into the DCEU as well. As a part of the treaty between Apokalypse and New Genesis, Orion was given to the leader of New Genesis, High Father as a hostage. He was raised to become a hero but still struggles with his heritage. Make for a good hero story, no?

#5 Catwoman

Batman’s most famous paramour slash cat burglar, Selina Kyle is considered DC Bond Girl. Fans are raving to see Zoë Kravitz showing up again in future Batman and other DCEU’s properties. Wouldn’t it be fun to see her and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn teaming up?

#6 Vandal Savage

Vandal Savage is a 50,000 years old immortal. Due to being exposed to a meteor, he gained immortality and is nigh-unkillable. But what makes him a threat to the mighty heroes of Earth is his insane intellect, having been involved in some of the biggest conflicts in history. If he shows up on the next DC installment, he’ll make a great threat to the Justice League.

#7 Starfire

One of the most well-rounded ladies in the DCU, Starfire has one of the most intriguing backstories and arcs. The Tamaran princess is kidnapped and enslaved, before breaking out and gaining her stellar power. Having on the roster of many teams, she would make a great addition to any teams the DCEU is forming.

#8 Brainiac

One of Superman's most dangerous villains, and one of the direct causes of the destruction of Superman’s home. Possessing a level 12th intellect, and an army of drones, Brainiac is a threat on an intergalactic level. Likely, if he shows up, it would make Superman’s next installment a fun watch.

#9 Mister Miracle

The original son of High Father, ruler of New Genesis, Scott Free, aka Mister Miracle, was exchanged with Darkseid’s son Orion as part of the treaty between the two planets. After years on the hellish planet, Scott learned the escape art and run to Earth. Unfortunately, his debut in DCEU was canceled along with the New God project, but there is still a chance for us to see Scott on the big screen.

#10 Big Barda

OK, who is more terrifying than the Female Furies? How about their leader? Big Barda was the leader of all Female Furies, which means she has to defeat all of them in combat at once. But Barda fled from Apokolips after meeting Mister Miracle. And she has been a hero ever since.

#11 The Red Hood

Jason Todd is one of the most tragic figures in DCEU. And also one of its most famous and angsty antiheroes. The second Robin was first being killed off, brutally so, by the Joker. Only to be brought back as an insane corpse. So it’s logical for Jason Todd to show up in any of Batman’s installments. We were even teased about his existence and death in Batman vs Superman.

#12 Poison Ivy

The reformed eco-terrorist is one of Batman’s most famous rouges and one-third of Gotham’s Sirens. Poison Ivy was played by Uma Thurman in the critically panned Batman and Robin, but since then we haven’t seen her in any Batman movies. However, as Harley Quinn and Catwoman have appeared in the DCEU, we have hopes for Pamela Isley to appear as well.

#13 Hawkgirl

With Hawkman being a key player in the Black Adam movie, it’s only natural for his karmic lover to show up soon as well. Hawkgirl, real name Shayera, the Thanagarian warrior, is a fascinating figure in the DCU. Thanks to the animated TV show Justice League, she’s already had a legion of fans, all waiting to see her swinging her Nth mace.

#14 Green Lantern

At the moment, the DCU has several Green Lanterns from Earth, so we have plenty of choices. The Green Lantern Corp was spotted in Zach Snider’s Batman vs Superman, so we know they are coming. Heck, we even have a leaked photo of Wayne T. Carr as John Stewart. Well, so long that it’s not Ryan Reynold, right?

#15 Reverse-Flash/Zoom

OK, one of the biggest and most critically acclaimed DCU events of all time is the Flashpoint Paradox. And its main big bad, Zoom or the Reverse-Flash, proves himself to be a deadly threat to the space-time continuum of the universe. While it doesn’t seem that Zoom, aka Eobard Thawne, going to appear anytime soon, we know that if DCEU ever adapts the Flashpoint Paradox storyline, he’ll be there.

#16 John Constantine

OK, while the Irish, hard-drinking, chain-smoking, foul-mouthing sorcerer has made it on screen - God bless Keanu Reeves for giving us a live-action Constantine - the movie was a letdown. A detective in DC’s world of dark magic, John Constantine is a great character to bring moviegoers into DC’s magical world.
