Woman Rehomed Her Husband's Dog After He Disappeared For 45 Days Without Warning
One woman went on Reddit to ask if she acted irrationally by giving away her husband's dog after he left the country for more than a month without any warning. Needless to say, her post caused a hot debate among Reddit users. Scroll down to read the full story and find out how people responded to it!
However, their two-year marriage came to an end because of what the husband did. He disappeared for 45 days without notifying her. When he returned home, he acted as if "nothing had happened", packed a bag, and left the country again without warning.
One Reddit user called GlassSandwich9315 commented, "I call BS on this story. You say your husband is frequently gone for a week-week+ for business. You say that he's never done anything like this before. But after only two weeks, around the time that, by your own description, you would just begin to have reason to think things weren't business as usual, you give away his dog. There are family members who hold out hope for months/years/decades when their loved ones go missing and it seems you didn't even wait two weeks before you were ready to move on. You also don't say anything about calling his company or calling the police or any efforts to try and find out what happened.
I think you knew he wasn't missing. I'm almost entirely convinced that you guys were having problems in your marriage, the writing was on the wall that it was over, and this was just the final straw. You gave the dog away to be petty. Your husband was an AH for just ghosting his family for a month, but you sound absolutely heartless. ESH."
