Her great-grandfather was a wealthy Philadelphia merchant at the turn of the nineteenth century, and her grandmother was an opera singer. At age nine, the girl's parents did everything they could to support her musical and theatrical interests. They drove her from Pennsylvania to New York so she could take acting and singing lessons, and they didn't object to her missing schoolwork when she was invited to perform.

His grandpa started a mortgage company back in the 1930s, and the family has been doing well financially ever since. However, as he matured, Edward rejected the family company in favor of a career in acting. He uprooted his life and headed to New York, where he would have to scrape by on various jobs until he landed his first acting role.

Many other musicians spent years honing their craft before they could play for a large crowd. And Ariana had it a lot simpler. She performed in front of a full stadium during a Florida Panthers hockey game in 2002, when she was just eight years old. Her father and grandfather were both wealthy businessmen and avid Gators fans.

Jake Gyllenhaal is from a famous film family. His mom's a writer; his dad's a director, and his sister's an actor. In addition, he was raised in the upper class. His whole family consists of the Swedish nobility. He made his film debut at age ten and had a starring part by the time he was 17. This was in the film October Sky.
