As a wedding present, Tom Cruise shelled out $20 million for a private jet to give to Katie Holmes. According to one of Tom's trusted sources, the ring he planned to give her was "something that would make her life so much better than a large diamond on her finger."
While some famous people may be known for their frugal spending habits, many others take great pleasure in splurging their hard-earned wealth on things that are both lavish and, dare I say it, odd. Let's just say that some of these extravagant stuffs that celebrities splurged in bewilderment.

In April of 2022, Pete Davidson and his ex-Saturday Night Live co-star, Colin Jost, purchased a former Staten Island Ferry vessel. In an auction earlier this year, the two comedians and a group of investors won the ferry for $280,000. A floating Entertainment venue is reportedly in the works for the couple's new lavish purchase.
