According to the artist Paul Westover, the only fictional characters that habitually act on the basis of their feelings rather than their rational thought processes are those who are associated with Disney. To drive this point home, he has created an outstanding series. It speculates on what would have transpired in the Disney films in which well-known characters, such as Simba, Aladdin, and others, had they used a modicum of common sense at some point in the story.
The fact that the characters take more initiative is a positive development; yet, this change almost certainly would result in the stories being much condensed.
