Many Movies are planned to be released in 2023. Trailers and marketing campaigns of these flicks leave us on the edge of our seats and make us uneasy to wait for our favorite movies. Among many names, The Super Mario Bros Movie seems to make a greater buzz than any others. The number of characters appearing in the movie is still a mystery, stimulating fans’ curiosity.
Let’s check out some familiar names that could have a role in the film!

#1 Wario

This character’s name already indicates that he is one of the greatest villains Mario had to fight. However, he is a surprising element when he turns out not as evil as we think.
No one can be sure about Wario’s appearance in the film, but we all love to see him in the classic Darth Vader role, acting as an anti-hero character until the last twist when he finds his heart and swaps sides.

#2 Daisy

Princess Daisy often serves a background role when playing second fiddle to Princess Peach. As she doesn’t appear on the character posters, we don’t know if she has a role in the movie. However, as she lives in the Mushroom Kingdom, we’re confident she will participate in the fight against Bowser.

#3 Waluigi

Given the released trailers, Luigi has more than enough on his plate even without Waluigi. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean the villain wouldn’t appear in the whole movie. Though we can’t know if Waluigi fights against or alongside the brave plumber, he is likely introduced together with Wario. The close bromance must remain at all costs!

#4 Rosalina

Rosalina, the adopted mother of the lumas, is a powerful character that protects the cosmos and ensures its order. She gained significant popularity among fans after her first appearance in Super Mario Galaxy.

Though it’s hard to see Rosalina in a battle in the Mushroom Kingdom, we hope she's introduced at some point. Maybe she will show up to give clues about a Super Mario Galaxy spin-off movie. It'll be satisfying to see Mario in a gorgeous galaxy space on a big screen!

#5 Yoshi

Mario fans can’t ignore the green dinosaur, a supportive companion that helps the protagonist a lot during the dangerous journey. The scene when the boot-wearing dinosaur swallows a Groomba whole and drives down Rainbow Road has become typical, and we must see it on the big screen. Luckily, with Yoshi’s reputation, it is quite certain that he will have a chance to team up with Mario during the movie.

#6 Bower Jr.

Though Bowser is featured with the perfect voice of Jack Black, which is both menacing and hilarious at the same time, this character may be cut out of the movie. King Koopa's son, Bowser Jr. makes his first appearance in Super Mario Sunshine. He strives to defeat Mario before his father but fails all the time.

In all the trailers and released clips, we haven’t seen the encounter between the mustachioed hero and Toadette. This character has shown up in plenty of video game titles, including Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, and Mario Party, which proves the popularity of this role. However, she’s only expected to serve a cameo role in the movie.
