7 Actors Shared The Struggles They Face While Filming Their Iconic Roles

According to research, just 2% of performers are self-sufficient. Furthermore, only a very small percentage of people have the good fortune to become internationally famous and play leading roles in blockbuster television shows or blockbuster movies. It’s also worth noting that these A-listed actors had a really rough start at the beginning of their careers with their iconic roles.
And you would assume that because acting is an actor's profession, they would love their time on the set of Movies and TV series. But sadly, it isn't always the case. For actors, filming a movie is, at best, a breeze. But acting can often be taxing, especially for challenging parts. Some actors really did struggle with their roles while filming. It can be due to the fact that the director was difficult to work with, or external factors like inappropriate costumes, etc.
As you can see, celebrities see their roles as a blessing, but sometimes also as a curse, whether they loathed their character or merely the celebrity that came with it. Here are the 7 truths about their struggles while filming their iconic roles.

Jon Snow, one of the main characters in the popular series Game of Thrones, was portrayed by Kit Harington for a number of years. And given that he was from the chilly kingdom of Winterfell, we frequently saw him donning the black cape. However, the English actor expressed his displeasure with this outfit in a TV appearance, complaining that "they added weight to it every year" and that "it weighs a ton, and it smells awful."

The gloomy vampire character he played in the well-known Twilight franchise, which was based on the same-named book series, helped the English actor achieve renown. Additionally, Robert Pattinson disclosed that the filmmakers wanted him to play a more positive version of the gloomy character from the novel.
On the other hand, he portrayed the part with a severe frown. It got to the point where his agents threatened to terminate him today unless he did the exact opposite of what he was doing.

Gwyneth Paltrow had to don a fat costume in 2001's Shallow Hal to play the part of Rosemary. Years later, the actress expressed her strong distaste for the film and called it a "disaster."
She continued by expressing her unhappiness with having to wear the costume on the first day, stating, "It was very sad. It was quite unsettling. I was so fat that no one would look me in the eye. I was embarrassed.

Never in the history of hairstyles has one garnered as much interest and popularity as Rachel Green's on Friends. However, we might be surprised to find that Jennifer Aniston didn't like her character's hairstyle at all. I think that was the worst haircut I've ever seen, the actress said as she spoke up about her surprise years after the adored series came to an end.

One of the key protagonists in the science fiction action film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer from 2007 was Jessica Alba. Three years later, the actress admitted she did not like the process of filming the part, saying the director continuously remarking on her facial expressions and even told her to appear prettier while crying.
She said he said, "It looks too real," to her. It seems too agonizing. Can crying make you more beautiful? Don't make that facial gesture. Just make it flat.’’

The You series' lead character Joe Goldberg has been portrayed by actor Penn Badgley since 2018. As the book goes on, Joe develops into an obsessive stalker who commits numerous terrible crimes. However, a lot of people are fans of the character because of how well-liked the program is.
There are many things about his character that I don't like, as Badgley has acknowledged in a statement. To be really honest, I don't like almost anything about him.

In the Harry Potter series, he played the part of Draco Malfoy, the villain with blonde hair. Tom Felton, who plays the role, actually has brown hair. The actor said that the aspect of his character he loved the least was dyeing his hair platinum for the part. He said in an another interview that he had to bleach his hair every single week for the part, which is why he was happy the franchise was over.
