This Artist Reimagined Disney Princesses As Black Women And They're Absolutely Beautiful

There’s no doubt that Disney is an endless source of inspiration for many people around the world. They are constantly discovering new ways of showing their passion for Disney princesses. Many fans have made wonderful series of Disney beauties based on their own style on the internet. And among these fans, Davian Chester is a completely talented artist.
But what makes his artwork stand out? Well, Davian Chester has reimagined some of the most famous Disney Princesses as black women
Davian Chester is a graphic designer and artist who come from Columbus, Georgia. His illustrations offer an insight into what Disney's most popular beauties would look like if they weren't caucasian. Chester not only reimagined the princesses' appearance, but he also added additional elements to portray their personalities. For example, in his drawing of Belle, Chester added Maya Angelou’s book “I Know Why the Cage Bird Sings.”
When asked how he got inspiration, Chester said, "I was inspired by the question, “What if some of the most iconic women in the world were Black women?” I imagined that they would be bold, Black, and beautiful with all shades of color."
