Man Gets Criticized For Letting His Dog Outside Without Food And Water, Asks Reddit If He Deserves To Be Chastised

No one wants to argue with their neighbors. But sometimes, we may face problems with nuisance neighbors who feel way too comfortable telling others what to do and trespassing on another person's property. That's what happened to a man who was chastised by his neighbor for letting his doggo out for around 20 mins at a time to go to the bathroom and get some fresh air. He has offered the following explanation for why the neighbor thinks he might be the asshole: "I left him outside without water, even though it was for a short time I should have been more careful to make sure he had water at least."

He said that he loved his dog so much and never wanted him to be miserable. "I only ever put him out for 20 minutes and have a timer for it because I'm forgetful and wanted to avoid him being miserable or lonely. I never put him out if the weather is bad, and he usually does have water but he always tips the bowl over."

He and the neighbor had an argument that's been bothering him. Therefore, he went on Reddit to ask if he was in the wrong and deserved to be criticized. Most people agreed that the man was not wrong and didn't even understand why the neighbor was so angry and retaliatory.

Many even advised him to get ahead of the situation by calling animal control directly to ensure he is not breaking any laws and report the crazy neighbor for dangerous interference with his dog.
