Dad Refused To Let His Stepson Return Home After He Ruined His Daughter's Book Collection

Reading develops our brains and gives us the ability to understand life in a much better fashion. For some readers, books can go more in-depth than a movie can. Therefore, when they are asked which one will they choose between reading a book and watching a movie, they definitely choose the former. Especially, books are their precious treasure for bookworms. As a result, they would flinch at a broken spine or a poorly cared-for book and this was our reaction when we read this Reddit story.

The Redditor shared a story about his stepson, his daughter, and her book collection. OP has a 12-year-old daughter who is into collecting old children's books. His 16-year-old stepson, Levi who, OP says, can be a bit of a brat. Levi loves to torment Susan and tosses items that belong to OP and their family over a small quarrel. He refers to her as "grandma" since she reads excessively. And when his stepson ruined his daughter's book collection, he yelled at him and refused to let his stepson return home. Scroll down to check out the whole story and let us know your thought.

Later on, the OP added an edit to say that this wasn't the first time he'd had an issue with Levi's dad for protecting Levi from punishment:

Levi should be aware that this is not the way to treat others. He's almost an adult who doesn't know how to respect others' boundaries

If monetary compensation is included, is it possible that the biological father will stop siding with his destructive son?

The OP's daughter comes first; he shouldn't let Levi get away with this to show her

Susan is the one who is being victimized; Levi is not the one who is in desperate need of sympathy
