Man Puts On ‘Cone Of Shame’ So His Pup Doesn't Feel So Alone After Surgery

Ollie is a chocolate Labrador who recently had minor surgery and had to put on a Cone of Shame. The cone could heal the wound without being disturbed, but it wasn’t a welcome new accessory for him.

“Ollie was just really sad with the cone on,” Alex, Ollie’s owner said. “He just moped around and was feeling really sorry for himself.”

He felt a bit alone and down about having to wear the cone, but luckily, he had a friend to cheer him up. Alex’s dad decided to lift his spirits after his surgery by putting on a self-made e-collar.

When Alex went to find Ollie and her dad, she saw the pair bonding on the couch and decided to film the adorable moment. Alex then shared the video on her TikTok with the caption, "Not my dad wearing a cone to make my dog feel less lonely after his surgery. I swear it’s always the dad who didn’t want a dog that end up loving them the most.”
The cute clip has gone viral and gained over 3 million views and positive comments.

Alex said that Ollie seemed to feel better after his grandparent’s thoughtful gesture. “Ollie definitely seemed a little happier. They’re both cone-free now. Ollie only had to wear it for a week. My dad only lasted a few hours!”

Alex cheered up her dog by turning the boring cone into beautiful and colorful decorations: fries, flowers, and martini. Ollie didn’t need them for too much longer, but he was pretty happy to wear them.
