Tina Denlinger, Chevy’s owner, said that his family found him from an ad in the paper. They were looking for a companion, so they decided to adopt him. The first time they really saw his smile was when they picked him up from the vet after being neutered.

“We lost our golden retriever 9 years ago and were looking for a companion for our corgi mix. We found him He was surrounded by a pack of dachshunds who did not like him. My husband grabbed him up and said he is going home with us,” Tina shared in an interview with Bored Panda.

Chevy's family is happy to own him and loves him so much. “The family gets a kick out of it, honestly. I’ve had different people reach out to me from his Instagram saying that they use his pictures on a daily basis to make them smile. He is the most happy-go-lucky guy that we have had the pleasure of owning.”
