Understanding the difficulties that come with being parents, we have empathy for the lion dad in this post. Parenting is tough, but raising kids as a single dad has a whole set of problems in itself. Meet Singa, an African lion in a zoo in Belgium, who is the father of five cubs. His wife was injured after being attacked by another lioness, so he had to look after his cubs. He might be the king of the jungle, but when it comes to taking care of his kids, he looks helpless.

Wildlife photographer Linda Smit captured the moment Singa struggling to take care of his cubs. In a series of hilarious photos, the lion dad was trying to pick his cubs up and move them. Though he really seemed to try his best, his five unruly cubs gave him a headache. They cried every time he came near them and even started to bite his tail.

Linda Smit explained, "He was trying to lift them, like the mother would do, to carry them to what he probably thought was a safer place. But as a male, he didn’t have the skills or experience to properly lift them. Although he was very gentle with the cubs, they screamed every time he came near and tried to move them. He was very tolerant with them, but he did get a bit grumpy when they were biting his tail."

When the mom, JJ, fully recovered from her injury and returned, the cubs were absolutely delighted to see her again. As you could see in the last pic, they ran up to her and embraced her.
