But do you know that Pixar is also really famous for its animated short movies? One of the most heart-wrenching short films from Pixar is “Kitbull” (originally titled “Shooting an Abused Pitbull”). It portrays the special bond of an abused pitbull and an abandoned kitten. The short film won Best Short Film at Sundance 2014 and was a finalist for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.

The official description of “Kitbull” from Pixar is straightforward: Two creatures, a free-spirited stray cat and a pit bull, establish an odd friendship. They had their first encounter with friends while they were together.
What they don’t tell you ahead of time is that the pit bull is being abused, and the sincerity of abused and rescued dogs is shown so beautifully and brilliantly that you couldn’t stop crying.
