A Major Jedi Character Is Rumored To Be Returning In "Obi-Wan Kenobi"
The expectation of fans for Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new TV series starring Ewan McGregor, has been continuously increased lately. And recently, a new rumor seems to anticipate the entry on the scene of a well-known Jedi from the Star Wars franchise.
As its name suggests, Obi-Wan Kenobi, consisting of 6 episodes with each lasting for approximately one hour, will be set between Revenge of the Sith (Episode III) and A New Hope (Episode IV) and center on some of the adventures of former Jedi Master Obi Wan-Kenobi. Therefore, it is not surprising that numerous rumors around this awaited series are now fuelling fans' expectations, including the latest that Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson), the former teacher of the character played by Ewan McGregor, would appear in it as well.
Notably, discussing the role of master Yoda, Ward suggested that he would not be the only Jedi to appear in the series. However, he was not sure whether Qui-Gon would show up as a ghost of the force or just a voice-over.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is expected on Disney+ on May 25. In addition to McGregor, the series will star Hayden Christensen, Rupert Friend, Moses Ingram, Sung Kang, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, Maya Erskine and Rory Ross.
