"Peacemaker" Actor Reveals That Two Major Cameos Were Cut From The Season Finale

The first season of Peacemaker has just ended and with the finale, we got a glimpse of an unexpected cameo. A cameo followed by new details.
After Chris Smith aka Peacemaker (John Cena), Vigilante (Freddie Stroma), Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) and John Economos (Steve Agee) stopped the invasion of a race of butterfly-shaped aliens, some unexpected comers arrive - the Justice League, which consists of Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash. Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller reprise the roles of Arthur Curry and Barry Allen, while stands in are used for Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot.

But apparently, the cameo part was much juicier in the initial plan. In fact, both Batman and Cyborg were present on the set.
The news comes from actor Matt Turner, who was the stand in for Batman aka Bruce Wayne in the finale of the first season of Peacemaker.
Turner shared on Instagram: "After that epic Peacemaker finale I can finally post this. Sadly I (& Cyborg) were cut from the final edit. Why? Only James Gunn & Warner Bros. Entertainment know that. While it's disappointing to be scrubbed out, this was still a blast, and a dream come true to wear the suit!!! Big thanks to everyone involved!!"

After the finale, director James Gunn got to talk about the final cameos and the absence of Batman and Cyborg from the formation of the Justice League.
"You know, I don’t know what I can - there are reasons for it, but I’m actually uncertain whether I can say what those reasons are," he said. "It might have to do with future stuff."
However, Gunn didn't specify that the cameos of these two heroes were actually filmed. As for the reasons, it could partly have to do with Ben Affleck's abandonment of the role of the Dark Knight and the battle between Ray Fisher and Warner Bros. But the reason could also have to do with the new DCEU, which we will see after The Flash by Andy Muschietti.
Peacemaker was recently renewed for a second season and the final episode of the first season has become one of the most viewed single episodes of a TV series on HBO Max.
